The incoming aircraft arrived at YYZ at 16:24ET. The last time I used T2 at YYZ it was on an International Flight YYZ-GLA on 15 October 1999 . At that time we used the same lounge and gate - then numbered 104. The re-allocation of Air Canada flights between T1 and T2 pending the completion T-new means that this area is now used for Star Alliance USA flights.
The sector from YYZ to ORD was almost 100% full being at an ideal time for a Friday evening commuter flight. For the sector from ORD to BOI there were probably only around 20 passengers on board.
At ORD I had the option to stay on the aircraft or leave it. I elected to leave it, but was able to leave my carry-on bags on board (leaving my BA Executive Club tags clearly visible) and went to get something to eat. I had an excellent hot sliced beef sandwich from the Berghoff Cafe located just opposite Gate C25.
