Whilst at Flery Manor, Marla and John recommended that we visited Yankee Pot Roast in Grants Pass. Located at 720 N.W. Sixth Street in Grants Pass and owned by Don and Nuala Brock.

There is no Web Site for Yankee Pot Roast, so here we quote the description and history of the building and restaurant from their menu. Then then follows selected extracts from the menu, with prices correct as at October 1999.

About Our Lovely Old Home

Originally the home of William and Viola Flanagan. The Flanagan House was constructed in 1905 as a private residence for the couple. As the first physician in Grants Pass, Dr. Flanagan began his practice in 1884 and continues until his death in 1930. Dr Flanagan also served the community as county coroner, town councilman and mayor. The house remained in Mrs. Flanagan's ownership until 1954.
The Flanagan House is significant in architecture, as it is one of only two notable brick homes left of nine which were standing in 1910. The building was placed on the National Historical Register in 1984.
The house became the home of Yankee Pot Roast in 1978. Although the large dining room and some interior space was addedd for the restaurant's kitchen, most of the interior space and exterior appearance reamain intact.
