Choral Singing

Stewart enjoys Choral Music, both listening and participating.

He joined Strathaven Choral Society (SCS) in Autumn 1994, singing First Bass. In June 1996, he became their Concert Manager. In October 2000 Stewart stage managed his largest event to date with over 300 choristers and instrumentalists at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. In 2003, he became Treasurer until 2011. Strathaven Choral Society meets from 19:30 to 21:30 on Monday nights in in the Strathaven Evangelical Church, 10 Lethame Road, South Lanarkshire.

For the 2014/15 season, Stewart sang with Kilbarchan Singers,under the direction of James Slimmings, followed by the Autumn 2015 Term with Eastwood Choral Society, under the direction of Oksana Mavrodii.

From January 2016 to July 2023, Stewart was been a member of Glasgow Cathedral Choral Society under the direction of:

In September 2022, Stewart joined Hutchesons' Choral Society under the direction of Tim Rhodes.

In January 2024, Stewart joined RSNO Glasgow Chorus Academy under Laura McFall, taking part in projects at the Scottish Parliament in February 2024, and the RSNO Season Launch Event in March 2024. In September 2024, came a move to the RSNO Chorus under Stephen Doughty. This included working with the Glasgow Chorus Academy in the Scottish Premier of the Jonathan Dove's climate change opera "Uprising" in March 2025.

In addition, in 2010 Stewart joined RSCM Scottish Voices, which meet six times a year to sing at churches around Scotland, and occaisionally in Northern England. In May 2025, RSCM Scottish Voices are undertaking their firsty overseas trip to Madrid.
